A series of informative lectures on amateur radio related topics are held across the day.  All Lectures are in lecture room 1 , located on level 1 of the main building.  Each lecture starts promptly at the nominated starting time.

ARRL U.S. Licence examinations

Get your U.S. amateur radio licence organised at the field day.  Exams are available from 9am at the exam centre located in the jockey room.  Entry is via the ground level on the racecourse side.  For all enquiries and bookings please email vk2yjs at gmail dot com.


Car boot sales

Located in the undercover concourse where the traders were in previous years.  There are a lot of bargains to be had with attendees displaying their items for sale from the car, van or stall.

Be quick as the bargains are snapped up fast.


Commercial traders offer a wide variety of equipment and components for sale.  See the traders page for more details.  Located in the Air-conditioned Marquee.

Australian Amateur licence assessments

Licence assessments for all licence grades are available.
The examinations are held in examination centre in the jockey room (entrance from the racecourse side, ground level) from 1:00pm.  Bookings are essential.  Please email vk2mp at wia.org.au for all bookings and enquiries.


Foundation licence education

This training course,  presented in the convenient one day format,  prepares you for the Foundation licence assessments (which you can take on the field day) It is  conducted  at the Central Coast Amateur Radio Club’s clubhouse, in the training room on Saturday 24 February commencing at 9am.

The only prerequisite for attending this course is to have obtained and read the WIA Foundation manual or completed similar study.

Clubs member get-togethers

Our club member get-togethers are quite popular.  If your amateur radio club would like to arrange a get-together of your club in the tea/coffee area during the field day,  please let the field day admin. team know. They are located in the administration room.   We will publicise it over the public address prior to your arranged meeting time.  This ensures all your club members know when it’s on.
